    Chinese Edge handpicks our teachers from a pool of talented teachers from various colleges in Singapore and China. They all have teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) colleges in the country. All of them are native speakers mainly from Northern China and in close vicinity to the Ivy League of Chinese academia.

    We are in a unique position to recruit from universities such as Beijing University, Renmin University, Beijing Normal University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing Language and Culture University, etc.

    Our Native Chinese teachers are qualified, professionally trained and bilingual. Most of them are Master or Degree holders in Applied Linguistic studies with an average of 1000 hours of teaching Chinese as a second or international language.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Degree in English Teaching Methodology from Shaanxi University. She has a Professional Chinese Teaching qualification and passed the Chinese EPT exam for MOE Chinese teacher.

    Claire was originally from China. She had six years working experience in hospitality business before joining us in Singapore as a Chinese teacher. Her students include western expats, local Singaporean and young learners from 4 to 16 years old. She believes that learning Mandarin should be a very inspiring & joyful experience, as she enjoys learning foreign languages & cultures herself very much as well. She is fluent in Mandarin, English & French.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Helen attained her Bachelor degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University in China, and Diploma of Education from Hubei Institute of Education, and also a Diploma in Early Childhood, Singapore

    TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

    Helen is native Chinese who started her Mandarin teaching in China Since 2006, and continued teaching in Singapore since 2013. She has great passion in teaching kids Mandarin at different background, levels and age groups.

    She uses active learning strategies during her course delivery. Through effective learner profiling, she is able to motivate students and improve learning outcomes.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    She has attained her Master degree from Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia and Bachelor in English Education from Beijing Capital Normal University

    TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

    Jie started her Mandarin training career when she went to USA in 2009 at Cornell University. She later moved to Singapore with her family in 2011. Jie has aptitude to remain flexible, ensuring that every student’s learning needs and abilities are well addressed. She is also accommodating and versatile with the talent to develop inspiring hands-on lessons.

    She has taught many foreign expatriates in Beijing, USA and Singapore. Her business Master Degree is an added value for her to teach Business Mandarin.
